April workshop opportunities: Just peace in Israel and Palestine

The United Church’s national Network for Justice and Peace in Palestine and Israel (UNJPPI) is sponsoring a free travelling 2-hour intro workshop in Saskatchewan April 8-16.  It’s designed to help your congregation understand the conflict in Israel and Palestine and learn how to take action towards a just peace for both peoples.  Please see confirmed dates, locations, and contact people below. All welcome.

This is a great opportunity to engage your congregation in an important issue that often sparks hesitation or fear. Join us in this safe and creative space to talk, listen, and learn. Resource people: Kathy Bergen, staff to UNJPPI and long time Mennonite and Quaker staff in the Occupied Territories; Jan McIntyre, a Manitoba farmer, educator, and former World Council of Churches ecumenical accompanier in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.  For more information, please contact Kathy at bergenkathy@gmail.com or Julie Graham, Conference staff, at jgraham@skconf.ca

In September, UNJPPI will also hold its annual conference in Saskatoon—watch for more details and your invitation!
